Dance Instructor MFA

 

Ms Dee grew up dancing in the San Francisco Bay Area and attained her Bachelors of Science Degree in Kinesiology and her Masters Degree in Dance Choreography and Performance. Dee’s professional dance career highlights included dancing for the San Francisco 49ers, the NBA Golden State Warriors, as well as dancing for Disney!  Dee was runner-up to Miss California (Miss America Organziation) and won many National dance titles and numerous scholarship awards throughout her career. Though no award has been as great as the joy Ms Dee sees in her student’s faces when they learn to dance!  Dee has spent the last 30 years teaching dance to ages 2.5 through adult.  She owned a highly successful dance studio in the San Francisco Bay Area for 13 years before deciding to sell and semi-retire. Though she couldn't stop teaching all together.  She loves it too much!  She is also a certified Group Fitness, Water Fitness and Zumba Instructor so she can share the joy of movement with adults in the gym setting.  Recently, Ms Dee has discovered a passion for Country Line Dancing and teaches adult line dance classes as well.  Ms Dee has had students go on to dance professionally for TV, movies, sports teams, theater and has even watched a few become dance teachers themselves!  Ms. Dee has a passion for teaching and instills that same passion and love for movement, fitness and the art form in each of her students.
